Manilla Street Productions is excited to launch 'Something New' in 2014.
The Something New series provides musical theatre artists with free use of the company’s Port Melbourne studio to test and perform their work.
Something New at Manilla Street will support the creation of new musical theatre in Melbourne.
Manilla Street Productions is keen to hear from writers, actors and singers with something new to offer audiences. Performances could include full new musical theatre works, single acts, individual songs and more. If it’s musical theatre and it’s something new, it will be considered for the series.
All audience tickets are $10 and artists receive a box office split.
Supporting musical theatre artists and developing new works are key objectives for Manilla Street Productions and the Something New series.
The Something New series builds on Manilla Street Productions reputation for producing new or lesser performed works. The Manilla Street Productions model is working with the industry’s best theatrical talent to present new works in intimate spaces.
